When I make a loaf like this there’s nothing that can stop me from showing it to every neighbor on my block

I feel like that loaf is hiding under a towel from Ikea because I have about 30 of them as well lol

I love how you whip the towel off for the dramatic reveal!

does anyone else see good bread and want to lay their head on the inside pieces like a pillow?

I saw the sub I was in, but still thought it was going to be a cat at first

It looks pretty good. If you want sincere feedback for improvement:

    * The bake looks uneven or incomplete; you could probably go a little longer until you get a more consistent browning. It goes past looks, as the browning provides a lot of flavor to the crust.
    * Based on the tearing and on the look of the side, I’m guessing you had the bread seamed, but when you put it in the pan to bake, the seam was on the side, rather than the bottom. Between a constrained seam and no scoring, the bread likely had to tear itself apart to get any rise. This might explain why other comments mention how dense the crumb is. I would recommend either scoring the top of your loaf or putting it with a gently sealed seam facing upward, for a natural crack.
    * This is a guess based on shape, but I take it this was baked in a loaf pan and never really rose to fill it? The scoring will help, but also paying attention to giving it a good structure while shaping and letting it rise for long enough in a warm enough environment before the bake.
    * Edit: I saw you use a dutch oven loaf pan in the other thread. Once you get ‘fully baked’ but still need color, take it out of the pan and just bake it on the rack, so that you don’t risk scorching the bottom/sides but can still give it time to develop color elsewhere.

Looks under fermented and I’d leave the lid on longer next time. They center of the loaf looks a little gummy
